Whether you are a fisherman, snowmobiler or dog sleigh enthusiast in an unusual environment, I will suggest you the best places and I can even accompany you throughout your stay. For over 20 years I have been exploring rivers, lakes and seas, in Europe and particularly in Scandinavia, in search of the best fishing spots for you to live your dreams. Also I have a long experience of preparing the exceptional winter holidays in Lapland, the land of Aurora Borealis … and Santa Claus.
Passionate about fishing and motorsport, after studying in Great Britain and France, followed by a rallying experience, as a driver in various championships in Europe but also as a world championship opener for factory teams alongside my father Ari Vatanen, I chose to pursue the career of golf on the professional circuit before returning to my first love and dive into the big bath of motorsports world.
This new turn has led me to become the manager of present and future star drivers in the World Rally Championship such as Sebastien Ogier, Craig Breen and Topi Heikkinen in the world Rallycross. All these years flying around the planet did not make me forget my immense passion for fishing, the nature and the large snowy areas at the origin of the creation of Vatanen Experience , specializing in tailor-made trips for all the types of fishing and winter holidays in Lapland.
Over the last two decades, Vatanen Experience has become one of the best specialists in this type of exceptional holiday, with an undeniable plus: tailor-made support from preparation to the end of your stay to share with you my knowledge, my experience and the passion that drives me. Fishing guide on all terrains, snowmobile and rally car driver, especially on snow and dirt, I am also a good epicurean and therefore a connoisseur of Finnish cuisine and French gastronomy. Finnish at heart, I still adopt French and I handle both the language of Victor Hugo – or that of Shakespeare – as the Finn with a good geographical and cultural knowledge of these countries.
